The World Bank has agreed to make a 60-million- dollar loan for educational development in Jordan, dpa cited the country as announcing in a statement today. The loan will be used to finance the second stage of the country"s Education Reform for Knowledge Economy project (ERfKE), said Jaafar Hassan, Jordanian minister of planning and international cooperation, who signed the accord on behalf of his government. The ERfKE is a 10-year multi-donor programme designed to help transform the country"s education system at the early childhood, basic and secondary levels to produce graduates with the skills needed for the knowledge economy.
