Jordan Requests European Union For Additional Support For Its Economy

The Jordanian government requested the European Commission (EU) for increasing its support to Jordan so that it can meet the (present) economic challenges.
This came during a meeting held here between Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jaafar Hassan and the visiting EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule.
The Minister briefed the EU official on the current economic challenges and financial difficulties experienced by the Jordanian economy and expressed the hope that the European Union would bolster support to Jordan to face its economic challenges in these exceptional circumstances experienced by the region.
