Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Energy and Industry and "WOQOD" Chairman inaugurated Monday morning a new LPG filling and distribution plant at the industrial area. In parallel to the inauguration of the new plant, Al Attiyah also announced the launch of a new lighter and safer LPG 12 kg cylinder, named "Shafaf". At the outset of the inauguration ceremony, Al Attiyah delivered a speech in which he said ""This event reflects the fruitful joint efforts and continued hard work which took place during the last two years between QP (Qatar Petroleum) and WOQOD"", adding that ""QP has successfully supervised planning, designing and implementation operations of the project, in coordination and cooperation with WOQOD."" "" It is worth mentioning that this plant has been built and equipped in accordance with the latest international standards, in terms of safety, security , health and environmental issues. Local environment safeguard was one of our top priorities in this regard."", Al-Attiyah added. The plant will meet the needs of Qatar for the next 30 years by debottlenecking its operational capacity without incurring new investments, according to a report of Qatar News Agency (QNA).
