Saudi Aramco IT senior consultant Rami T. Al-Mushcab was named 2010 vice chair for Strategic Management and Analysis of Member and Geographical Activities (MGA) for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) during a recent MGA board meeting. Al-Mushcab of the IT Planning Division of the Information Protection and Technology Planning Department, is the first person from the Middle East to hold the position. “To improve the quality of strategic planning, I will foster a culture of open and objective debate among IEEE concerned entities by deliberately and thoughtfully identifying and discussing the strategic issues that will have the greatest impact on future IEEE performance,” Al-Mushcab told the board recently. “I will ensure that key strategy conversation will take place among IEEE decision makers, relevant IEEE committee leaders, and volunteers with experience essential to the discussion.” --MORE
