The Leaders of GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) reasserted here today, their full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in face of aggressions and violation of its borders, pledging to consider any act against its security and stability, as an act aginst their countries security, stability, and safety as a whole. The Leaders stressed, in their final communique of the 30th session of GCC Supreme Council, on their absolute support for the Kingom"s right to defend its land and its people"s safety, and reaffirmed their full support for Yemen"s unity, security, and stability. Bahrin"s nominee to the post of Secretary General of the GCC, has been approved and that is to take effect from 2011, the communique said. On the other hand, the Supreme Council deliberated on effects of current world economic crisis, welcomed exerted efforts by its Member States to mitigate it, and expressed its confidence in its states solid economies and capability to over the fallout of this crisis, due to their sound policies and efficient procedures taken by its Member States in this regard, the communique added. GCC Supreme Council reviewed recommendations, followed up reports submitted by Ministerial Council, and achievemnts of common action, since last session, in all fields, and discussed international and regional political and economic developments in light of what are taking place on both the world and the region. --More
