On the occasion of the return home of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, the Saudi Press Agency presents the following Biography of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz: Date of Birth and Education: Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz was born on January 05, 1931 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He grew up under the care of his father, late King Abdulaziz, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He learnt the Holy Quran and Arabic language under the supervision of senior Ulema. He expanded his knowledge by intensively reading in the fields of knowledge and diplomacy and paying several visits abroad. Official Participation: Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz participated in most of the Saudi official delegations led by late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Arab and Islamic summits as well as meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz led several official delegations, including the Kingdom"s delegation to ceremonies held by the United Nations on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of its establishment in 1985 as well as the fiftieth anniversary in 1995. He also led the Kingdom"s delegation participating in the General Assembly of the United Nations held in New York in 2005 on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the UN.
