The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today confirmed the important role for Chemical Weapons Ban Agreement to create a world free of this dangerous category of mass destruction weapons, a step that could partly lead to enhancement of world security and peace and support of development and cooperation in the fields of useful chemical industry. Saudi Ambassador to Holland Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Shaghroud, who is also Permanent Representative to the Organization for Chemical Weapons Ban, said in a speech before the14th conference of the State Parties of the Chemical Weapons Ban Agreement that the Kingdom was among the first countries to join the agreement. He said the Kingdom has long ago set up a national authority to put the agreement into effect. --SPA
