The Health Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council will hold its 71st session here from December 5-7. Dr.Towfiq Bin Ahmed Khoja, Director General of the Executive Office of the Health Ministerial Council said the session"s agenda would include several topics relating to organizational aspects, in particular The Trust Fund and its financial status and other Medical researches. "The session will also deal with the electronic linking of centers of information between the GCC countries and the Ministerial Health Council and what is related to technical affairs of quality health care and patient safety; alternative medicine; anti-cancer, anti-non-communicable diseases; mental health; medicine based on evidence; the fight against smoking, and occupational health; the World Health Survey; research care; emergency medical services; pandemic influenza A (H1N1), and primary health care, and malaria, and nursing services. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
