Pilgrims performed shortened and combined prayers of Dhuhr and Asr at Namirah Mosque in Arafat in pursuit of the Prophet"s Sunnah (Traditions). Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee attended the prayers led by Kingdom"s Grand Mufti, and Chairman of Senior Scholar Commission and Scholarly Research and Ifta Department Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh. In his sermon, Sheikh Abdulaziz called on pilgrims to adhere to the religion and commit to the Prophet"s Sunnah (Tradition). He said, "The Islamic nation is still suffering in its latest times from some great and dangerous challenges including religious deviation in replacing correct religion with deviating principles which have affected the true religion", stressing that attention to the correct religion is one of the greatest missions and duties. Sheikh Abdulaziz noted that one of the greatest deviation is politicization of Hajj, destabilization of its security and causing chaos and riot in Hajj, stressing that the Saudi leadership will not allow any evil doers to desecrate or destabilize the security of the holy land. He added that terrorism is one of the most dangerous challenges facing the Islamic nation, indicating that Muslims and peoples all over the world have suffered from terrorism.
