A policeman was killed and one was wounded in an attack of gunmen at the border between Chechnya and North Ossetia. Three gunmen were killed there, Itar-Tass quoted Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhnov as saying. On Saturday morning, Chechen interior ministry officers received information that a few members of illegal armed groups planned to cross the administrative border between Chechnya and North Ossetia and head for Mozdok. On the road near the Oktyabrsky joint post, where Chechen and North Ossetian policemen were on duty together, a Volga car supposedly with gunmen was stopped. When those in the car were asked to present their documents, they opened fire at the policemen, killing one North Ossetian officer and wounding another, Alkhanov, who went to the incident site, said.
