Concluding their 28th meeting here today, the Ministers of the Interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council"s member states (GCC) adopted a proposal presented by the Kingdom of Bahrain to crystallize a security approach to counter terrorism. In a press release issued at the conclusion of the meeting, GCC interior ministers reiterated their support for any regional or international effort in the fight against terrorism. They also lauded the ratification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the Statute of the GCC"s Criminal Information Center for Drug Control and valued the signature of the State of Qatar on the GCC security pact. GCC Ministers of Interior also emphasized the unity, security, stability and territorial integrity of Iraq as well as the Republic of Yemen and non-interference in their internal affairs. Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Interior Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country"s delegation participating in the meeting. --SPA
