The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly denounced the breaking into Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli police and the use of bombs against the Palestinians who stationed themselves at the Mosque. In a communiqué released today, ISESCO called on the international community to intervene and put pressure on Israel to stop its continuous attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, in compliance with the international laws which prohibit attacking places of worship and religious symbols and altering the historical and geographical landmarks of the occupied territories. In the same vein, ISESCO called on the Islamic world to adopt a unified position with regard to the crimes against humanity being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities in Al-Quds and the Palestinian territories. On the other hand, ISESCO, in a communiqué issued today, condemned the two terrorist bombings that occurred yesterday and left hundreds of dead and wounded from among Iraqi citizens. ISESCO urged the Iraqi people to stick to the unity of their country in order to take the field against the enemies of peace who are fierce opponents of the Iraqi state and its supreme interests. --SPA
