The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has called for an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee at the Ministerial Level to be held on 1st November 2009 at its headquarters in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting will convene to discuss the grave developments unraveling in the occupied city of Al-Quds and the unceasing Israeli aggressions against the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian population. The OIC will examine at the upcoming meeting all deployable means to address Israeli violations and the best ways of articulating and adopting a unified Islamic position in a bid to put an end to the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy city of Al-Quds. The OIC will also explore the best means and ways of working closely with the international community to work out a mechanism capable of protecting Muslim and Christian sacred sites and sanctities in Al-Quds. --SPA
