"Zayed Giving Initiative" has launched a mobile laboratory for science and technology, with the aim of disseminating the principles of science and technology as well as making it possible for students to develop their scientific creative talents. Being the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East, the laboratory is deemed as a prototype of advanced high-tech units including a group of sophisticated scientific instruments, CDs and information systems and scientific innovations that contribute to highlight and develop the talents of students. Dr Adel Al Shamri, CEO of Zayed Giving Initiative, pointed out that "The lab provides the students with a simplified explanation of the science curriculum besides scientific applications enhancing mental capacities, highlighting that the lab besides disseminating principles of science and technology innovations, it also helps students to keep pace with scientific developments to rehabilitate the students to be more creative and productive. The UAE news agency "WAM" quoted Al Shamri as saying that the operational plan for the laboratory includes the organization of field visits to schools, clubs, orphanages and youth centers in remote areas and other concerned bodies in collaboration with UAE governmental and private non-profit institutions. --SPA
