The Undersecretary of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) launched here today "The Second International Conference on Breast Cancer" organized by Princess Nourah Oncology Center, an affiliate of the National Guard"s King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah in cooperation with Detroit University at Jeddah Intercontinental Hotel, with participation of more than 200 specialists from US, Germany, Jordan, Egypt and GCC countries. Dr Abdul Wahab Andigani, Internal Medicine Consultant and President of the Princess Nourah Oncology Center and Chairman of the Conference Scientific Committee said that the event is held every two years in October, coincides with the International Month for Breast Cancer Awareness, and gives impetus to the October breast cancer risk campaign. He said that the Conference will have more than 14 working papers dealing with the latest developments in diagnosis and therapy reflecting the summary of the experiences of international research centers specialized in this field. He pointed out that the conference will address how to use the latest diagnostic equipment, which became available in the Princess Nourah Oncology Center, indicating that breast cancer is the most prevalent woman diseases in the world , and it is the first and most prevalent among women diseases in Saudi Arabia. -- SPA
