Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND) handed over here on Tuesday evening AGFUND International Award for Developmental Projects in a ceremony held under the auspices of Turkey's President Abdullah Gul. In his speech, Prince Talal said that the award in its three categories for this year has been won by pioneers in combating visual impairment that undermines the capabilities of millions of people around the world, stressing that humanity is in utmost need for initiatives that make life safer and more peaceful. On his part, the Minister of State and Representative of Turkey's President Farouk Celik expressed his thanks to and appreciation of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz for his support for developmental projects in developing countries through Arab Gulf Program and Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND). The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Turkey Mohammed Al-Husseini and President of Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali.
