The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will take part in the International Conference on “Russia and the Islamic World: Together for stability”, due to be held in Moscow on 24 September 2009. Ministers from the Russian Federation will participate in this conference, along with a host of scholars, presidents of Islamic institutions in Russia, heads of Islamic organizations, thinkers and learned men from Russia and other countries. The conference will tackle such important issues as expanding cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries in the spheres of science, culture, economy and education. Furthermore, the conference will focus on the role of Islamic organizations and religious administration of Muslims in Russia, as well as centers affiliated with the Council of relations with Muslims outside Russia. Dr. Mustapha Ahmed Ali, Head of the General Secretariat of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), will represent ISESCO in this event.
