Obama phones Czech premier

The Czech government says President Barack Obama has phoned the country's prime minister to discuss a U.S. missile defense plan.
Government spokesman Roman Prorok says Obama and Czech
Prime Minister Jan Fischer spoke overnight. He declined to
provide details of the discussion, but said Fischer later
informed Czech President Vaclav Klaus.
Czech officials said they would be briefed by U.S.
officials later Thursday.
