Jazirah newspaper in its editorial entitled "The Support for Yemen" said that the visit paid to Yemen by the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah showed that Yemen is not alone in confronting insurgents and foreign powers that want to turn Yemen into an arena of confrontations and a scene of terrorist and military attacks . The paper added that the Gulf Cooperation Council should support Yemen's efforts in promoting its stability and strengthening its security and it should be linked to the GCC security, noting that all potentials should be put at the disposal of Yemen, not only for maintaining its security and unity, but for fortifying the Arabian Peninsula and the Arab Gulf.
