Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hasan Talat Nazer has conducted a tour of Victoria state -- the second largest state in Australia. During the four-day tour, which ended on November 22, the ambassador met with The Governor General of the state professor David Crisster, as well as a number of ministers, high- ranking officials, businessmen, heads and members of Australian Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as representatives of economic and investment sectors in the State. The state of Victoria represented by parliamentary minister for education Steef Harbert hosted an official luncheon in honor of Ambassador Nazer. In an address on the occasion, Nazer conveyed greetings of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his faithful Crown Prince to the Governor General and members of Victoria state government, praising the efforts which are being exerted to develop the economic and commercial relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the state of Victoria in various fields. On his part, Minister Herbert highlighted in his speech on behalf of the state Government, Saudi-Australian relations and the role being played by Ambassador Nazer to boost these relations in all spheres. Later, the Saudi Ambassador delivered a lecture at The Australian Institute for International Relations in Melbourne in which he shed light on relations between the Kingdom and Australia as well as the foreign policy of the Kingdom.
