Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih Al Alsheikh has highlighted the great attention given by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh region, to the Holy Quran. Speaking on the occasion of the 11th session of the prize of Prince Salman for the memorization and intonation of the Holy Quran, due to be organized by the ministry of Islamic affairs, endowments, call and guidance here on Sunday, Al Alsheikh said the organization of the contest provides a clear evidence for the great attention given by Prince Salman to the Holy Quran. He noted that the teachings of the Holy Quran are against terrorism in all its forms. Al Alsheikh praised the establishment of the Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran printing complex. On her part, Noora Al-Fayez, the deputy minister of education for girls affairs, said the organization of the contest stands as a witness for the great attention given by the Saudi Leaders to the Holy Quran. She noted that such contests will encourage the youth to learn and memorize the Holy Quran. The Kingdom ever since its establishment by King Abdulaziz has been giving utmost attention to the Holy Quran, she said.
