Saudi Cultural Days started their activities here on Friday evening. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Information for International Cultural Relations Dr. Abu Bakr bin Ahmed Baqader and Saudi Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay Issam Al-Thaqafi. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Delivering a speech, Dr. Baqader said that the Ministry of Culture and Information has been keen on activating cultural contacts with other peoples in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to activate cultural and civilized contacts based on friendship between the people of Saudi Arabia and other brotherly and friendly peoples. He commended the patronage of Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja and Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, for Saudi Cultural Days in Argentina and Uruguay and their interest in honorably showing the events to reflect the Kingdom's position and its leading role. In another speech, the Undersecretary of Argentine Ministry of Culture, Coordinator for International Relations Dr. Emily Freire expressed the pleasure over holding Saudi Cultural Days in Argentina which increase the opportunities of cultural, intellectual and artistic contacts between the peoples of the two countries.
