Argentine Minister of Culture Arnar Lombardi launched Friday the Saudi “Cultural Days” week in Argentina and Uruguay with folk displays and exhibitions on the Two Holy Mosques, and works of art and photography. A Saudi women and men's fashion show was staged by Hind Baghaffar, and guests, welcomed by Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information Undersecretary for International Cultural Relations Abu Bakr Baqadir, were offered traditional Saudi cuisine representing different regions of the Kingdom. Dr. Baqadir said that the Ministry of Culture and Information has been keen on activating cultural contacts with other peoples in implementation of the directives of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to activate cultural and civilized contacts based on friendship between the people of Saudi Arabia and other brotherly and friendly countries. He commended the patronage of Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khoja and Prince Turki Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, for Saudi Cultural Days in Argentina and Uruguay and their interest in honorably showing the events to reflect the Kingdom's position and its leading role. Dr. Emily Freire, the Undersecretary of Argentine Ministry of Culture, Coordinator for International Relations, expressed the pleasure over holding Saudi Cultural Days in Argentina. He said these events increase the opportunities of cultural, intellectual and artistic contacts between the peoples of the two countries.
