Exhibitions showcasing the huge expansion projects undertaken at the Two Holy Mosques and achievements of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities got going here Saturday evening. Juan Landaboro, Deputy Secretary of Religions at Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Abu Bakr Bin Ahmad Baqadir, Undersecretary of Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information for International Cultural Relations, inaugurated the exhibitions as part of the Saudi Cultural Days currently in progress in Argentina. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Issam Al-Thaqafi, Saudi Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay. Dr. Baqadir emphasized the importance of holding such cultural exhibitions as they convey messages of peace, cordiality and brotherhood between peoples. Through these exhibitions, he said, the Ministry of Culture and Information seeks to introduce cultural and civilized perspectives in the Kingdom and to contact with other cultures. Ambassador Al-Thaqafi expressed the pride of the Kingdom's government and people in the service of the Two Holy Mosques which attract hearts of Muslims all over the world, noting that the exhibition shows the attention and care of the government for the Two Holy Mosques, their construction and expansion. Addressing the ceremony, Saad bin Hilayyil Al-Zuwaihri, Director of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Islamic Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information for holding Saudi Cultural Days in Argentina for cultural and civilized contacts with other peoples. Dr. Hisham Abdulrahman, Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Argentina and Lebanese Ambassador, expressed on behalf of Arab ambassadors his pride in holding the event of Saudi Cultural Days and its associated activities and festivities in Argentina.
