Muneer Ahmed Hussein Shah, a Bangladeshi national residing in Riyadh, was today killed for having committed rape and killing of a woman, a statement by the Ministry of Interior said. The statement said the court's final legal proceedings resulted in convicting Muneer Ahmed Hussein Shah of capital punishment after pleading guilty of using force to rape a woman, try to suffocate her to death, set fire to her room, locked the room, and fled the scene of the crime, leaving her to face a definite death. Following the regular judicial steps, the culprit, who was then apprehended by security forces, was killed after Friday prayers in Riyadh today, the Ministry said, warning whoever dares to commit such a crime that the same fate awaits him.
