The Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investment and Export Credit signed an agreement here today with Sudanese Shaikan Company for Insurance and Reinsurance, Division of Livestock Exporters, on increasing livestock imports, estimated at more than one million U.S. dollars a year from Sudan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Corporation's Director General Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Tayyeb Ali Taha, who signed the agreement, said that the insurance policy to be issued by the Company will enable Sudanese banks to provide the necessary funding for increasing Sudanese livestock imports into the Kingdom during Hajj season. The signing ceremony was attended by President of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali and Sudan's Consul General in Jeddah, Ambassador Mahmoud Fadhel Abdulrasul.
