Two passenger ferries Thursday collided in thick fog off the Swedish mainland and initial accounts suggested several people were injured, news reports said, according to dpa. The accident occurred off Nynashamn, 60 kilometres south-west of Stockholm. Nynashamn is a key hub for ferries plying the route between the Swedish mainland and the Baltic Sea island of Gotland. One of the ferries was reported to be the M/S Gotland that has some 1,500 passengers onboard. The other ferry has half that capacity.
