The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the Lunar Month of Sha'ban on Wednesday evening ( 29/7/1430H) corresponding to July 23, 2009 according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar. In a recent announcement, the Supreme Court also requested whoever sees the crescent of Sha'ban with naked eyes or by binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony there, or call the authority of the region's governorate in order to facilitate reaching the nearest court. The Supreme Court also urged all crescent sight-seekers to join the specially formed committees and called upon all Muslims to sight the Crescent for the cooperation of all in righteousness and piety.
