Presided over by its vice-Chairman Dr. Bandar Hajjar, the Shoura Council held today its 39th ordinary session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council approved by majority vote the National Executive Plan for Road Safety proposed by the Committee for Security Affairs on the increased number of traffic and road accidents. The plan studies easing traffic congestions, improving roads infrastructures, upgrading traffic regulations as well as raising public awareness. Dr. Al Ghamdi added that the Council also approved by majority vote the report proposed by the Committee for Management, Human Resources and Petitions regarding domestic service workers. The report discusses the relationship between house owners and those working for them including duties and off-days. He added that the council also reviewed the report proposed by the Committee for Health Affairs and Environment regarding the National Program for the Protection against Radiations recommending that it be held for further discussions.
