An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale rattled the northeast of Manado, North Sulawesi province on Saturday at 3.52 am Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB), ANTARA reported. The tremor's epicenter was located at 4.87 degrees northern latitude and 126.52 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 30 km beneath the sea level, around 98 km northwest of Melonguane, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said in its official website. The earthquake did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, the BMKG said. There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
