The Mediterranean Ophthalmological Society has concluded here its 10th conference with the participation of President of Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi, who is also Member of Board of Directors of Saudi Ophthalmological Society (SOS). During the conference, Dr. Al-Rajhi was awarded two prizes by the Society and International Task Force for Visual Disability, in recognition of his professional and scientific efforts in the development of ophthalmology. Dr. Al-Rajhi expressed his thanks to and appreciation of Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Board of Directors of Mediterranean Ophthalmological Society and President of Saudi Ophthalmological Society for his unlimited support for the development of ophthalmology in the region which has advanced it to a high position in the world. He noted that the Mediterranean Ophthalmological Society headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz has obtained the rights of the organization of the World Ophthalmological Congress (WOC) in Abu Dhabi in 2012, the first time to be held in the region for nearly 150 years.
