Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khayyat, accompanied by a number of officials of the embassy and Saudi Attaché Departments, has paid a visit to Al-Azhar Islamic University in Jakarta. Upon arrival at the venue, they were received by the University's Rector Dr. Zahal and a number of professors who welcomed the ambassador and his accompanying delegation and thanked them for the visit that further enhances the ties of friendship and cooperation between the Saudi Embassy and Indonesian universities. In a lecture delivered by the Ambassador, he shed light on the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in bolstering international cooperation, Saudi-Indonesian relations, Kingdom's achievements in economic development, and its considerable efforts in the service of pilgrims and Saudi humanitarian assistances. At the end of the lecture, the Ambassador presented to the University a cultural gift including books and references in Sharia, sociology, language, literature and education as well as a huge electronic library containing famous books in all sciences.
