Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Alsheikh held a lecture in Al-Azhar Mosque. During the lecture, Sheikh Saleh urged Muslims to be optimistic and stick to Quran and Sunna, stressing that Muslims must help each other and keep away from disagreement and cooperate. The lecture was attended by Chairman of Indonesian People's Council Dr. Hidayat Nur; Indonesian Minister of Religion Muhammad Maftuh Basyuni; Saudi Ambassador to Jakarta Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khayyat; and Saudi Religious Attaché in Jakarta Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Sulaiman Al-Nighaimshi.
