The Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulrahman Mohammed Khayat opened the new building designated for the Saudi religious affairs attaché in Jakarta. The Saudi Religious Affairs Attaché, Ibrahim Sulaiman Al-Nughaimsh said he deeply appreciated the support and concerns from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz. The Saudi Religious Affairs office in Jakarta translates about one million books a year from Arabic to Indonesian according to a New York Times article published in 2003. The office also offers scholarships for study at universities in the Kingdom.
