Turki said the recent speech of US President Barack Obama was a positive development as regards the western stand towards Islam and its civilization and culture, taking into account that a number of western leaders have welcomed the speech of Obama and his vision as regards relations with the Muslim world. He said the campaign earlier launched against Islam and Muslims have diminished and that he hoped that these campaigns, which are supported by advocators of civilizations and cultures conflict, would come to an end. Dr Al-Turki said the MWL is determined to resume its efforts in the field of dialogue which enables others to get acquainted with Islam. He added that arrangements are underway to hold an international conference in Geneva in the lunar month of Shawal under the title of 'The initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for dialogue of religions and its impact on spreading human values. The MWL and ISESCO are keen on enabling the Muslim world to confront the challenges and unify their ranks, he said.
