Red Sea and Aden Gulf Countries signed in Jeddah today a new protocol for technical cooperation, smooth transfer of experts, equipment and materials in case of across-sea emergencies. The protocol also aimed at enhancing regional cooperation to face pollution. In a statement, Prof. Ziad Abu-Ghararah, the Secretary General of the Regional Commission for Preservation of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Environment, said the computer-equipped commission's headquarters was also designed to monitor and tackle oil leaks and maritime piracy.
