The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who is also the President of the Supreme Higher Education Council, has approved a number of academic decisions adopted by the Council at its 54th session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari said the Council has approved paying reward of excellence to all students of parallel medicine at the Saudi universities. Dr Al-Anqari noted that the decisions approved by the King included establishing research centers and institutes in some universities as well as turning the center of research and consultative studies at Ummal Qura University into the institute of research and consultative studies. The Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concluded by Princess Noora bint Abdulrahman and the Jordanian university. The Council also endorsed a number of annual reports for al-Ihsa-based King Faisal University for 1426-1427 AH; Princess Noora bint Abdulrahman University for 1428-1429AH, Tabuk University for 1427-1428AH and Najran University for 1428-1429AH.
