Two swine flu cases successfully treated in Turkey

Two people infected with the A(H1N1) virus,
commonly known as swine flu, were today discharged from a
hospital in Istanbul having recovered completely, dpa quoted the Anadolu news agency as reporting.
The two US nationals were hospitalized last week after displaying
flu symptoms upon their arrival at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.
Laboratory tests later found they had caught the A(H1N1) strain of
the virus.
The two had flown from the United States to Istanbul via Amsterdam
and were planning on continuing on to Iraq.
Haseki Research Hospital head doctor Haldun Erturk told Anadolu
that the pair had both fully recovered and after one week's treatment
had tested negative to the A(H1N1) virus.
No other cases of swine flu have been recorded in Turkey.
