The number of patients infected with the H1N1 strain of virus in Bali has up to now increased to four persons, ANTARA quoted Director of Denpasar's Sanglah General Hospital Gusti Lanang Suartana Putra as saying. "Four previously suspected H1N1 carriers have been tested positive," Suartana Putra said here on Monday. He said that on Sunday the hospital got confirmation from Jakarta that two latest suspects at Sanglah hospital were swine flu carriers. He said that two patients who were previously declared positively carriers of H1N1 virus were Bobie Masoner (22) and George Coltman (12). Masoner is a Briton who stays in Australia while Coltman is an Australian. James Antonocciu (10), an Australian boy was declared H1N1 virus carrier on Saturday, and on Sunday, a girl, Tayla Marco (14) of Australia, was also positively infected with the virus. Of the four swine flu patients, only Masoner has been allowed to leave the hospital (on Friday last week) because she has passed the infectious period. The three others are still being intensively treated at the isolation rooms of Sanglah hospital. They are also waiting for the results of the final laboratory tests. "The three patients have gained better conditions. Their body temperature has returned to normal and are no longer complaining flu pain. If the final lab tests indicated negative, and they have passed the infection period, they might be allowed to go home," Suartana Putra said. Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari said on Wednesday last week that besides Masoner, a pilot in Jakarta was also said to have contracted H1N1 strain of virus. Besides Masoner, the minister also said that swine flu had also infected a pilot identified as WA (37) from Jakarta. WA visited Australia on June 14 and Hong Kong on June 18. On June 19, he suffered from fever and went to see a doctor at Sulianti Saroso hospital in Jakarta. Masoner arrived in Bali on June 19 and with a health alert card was admitted to the Sanglah Hospital in Bali on June 20.
