Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah Al-Turki received here today Sheikh Makdas Piers, the Mufti of Saratov city in Russia. During the meeting, they reviewed a number of Islamic issues. Speaking on the occasion, Makdas said the Russian Muslims are looking forward for cooperation with the MWL. He noted that the Ifta houses in Russia view the fatwas (religious rules) issued by the Islamic Jurisprudence Council, an affiliate of the MWL, as a basic reference. On his part, Dr Al-Turki reiterated the readiness of the MWL to forge cooperation through an integrated strategy that serves Islam ad Muslims in Russia.
