The Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf discussed here this evening with Dr. Su Gothenburg, the visiting German Minister of Economy and Technology, the aspects of economic relations between the two countries and ways of developing them, particularly in the fields of trade and investment in the framework of the opportunities and possibilities being provided by the two countries' economies. The two ministers' meeting held following their participation in the ceremony held by the Saudi-German Liaison Office for Economic Affairs, to mark its foundation 30 years ago. Al-Assaf and Gothenburg also discussed the global financial crisis and the actions taken by the Group of Twenty to address its implications. The relations of cooperation between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and EU and fields of developing them were discussed too. The meeting was attended by a number of Saudi and German officials.
