Minister of Finance Dr Ibrahim Al-Assaf met here today with German Minister of State for Economy and Business George Adamovitch. They reviewed economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Germany as well as issues pertaining to the activities of the Saudi-German joint commission including joint investments. The meeting was attended by Dr Hamad Al-Baz, the undersecretary of the ministry of Finance for economic affairs and German ambassador to the Kingdom Dr Gerhard Enver Schrombgens. On the fringe of the inaugural ceremony of the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum Secretariat (IEFS), which was held here on Saturday, Dr Al-Assaf met separately with French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry Thierry Breton; Italian Minister of Productive Activities Claudio Scajola, and British Chancellor of Exchequer Gordon Brown. These meetings focused on aspects of bilateral economic cooperation. These meetings were attended by Hamad Al-Sayyari, the Governor of the Saudi Arabia Monetary Agency (SAMA), and other senior officials.
