The Arab League announced today that the Arab League Council at the level of Arab Foreign Ministers will hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009, at the headquarters of the Arab League to discuss the latest developments in the occupied Al-Quds as well as Israel's systematic policies aimed at changing the overall Arab, Islamic and Christian features of Al-Quds city. In a statement today, the Director of Arab League Council Affairs Mohammad Al-Zaidi said that the meeting will be held at a request from Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Al-Malki because of the dangerous Israeli policies in the occupied Al-Quds city. Al-Zaidi said that the Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa held consultations with Arab states after receiving the Palestinian request to convene the meeting, pointing out that a large number of Arab countries agreed to hold the meeting.
