The Secretary General of the OIC Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu today stated that the OIC has been following with concern the disturbing news on the deterioration of the situation along the borders of Chad and the Sudan. He appealed to the two OIC Member States to exercise maximum restraint and to live up to their commitments contained in the Dakar Agreement signed by the two parties on 13th March 2008. Prof Ihsanoglu, called upon the two OIC Member States to take the necessary measures in order to restrain cross border movement by armed groups.
