à-vis Darfur problem, the Saudi ambassador said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen on reaching swift resolutions for the problem of Darfur so as to bring about peace there and support the Sudanese government and the Arab efforts for settling the problem of Darfur to end the tragic situation there. "The Kingdom rejects trial of Sudanese President Omar Al-Basheer before the International Criminal Court and believes that any measure against him will further aggravate the situation in Sudan". On the other hand, the ambassador said the Kingdom has been giving utmost attention to the problems of the Muslim nation, and has been working for enhancing the Islamic solidarity. The Saudi government has been working to cement the concepts of Islamic creed among the Muslims as well as authenticate this concept because these are characterized by fraternity, mercy, moderation and love for the people. "The Kingdom rejects terror operations and shares views with other countries as regards firmly standing before the phenomenon of extremism in a radical manner because extremism does not only undermine security and stability, but also runs counter to the religious values and human principles," he added.
