The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has called for performing the Istisqa (rain-seeking) prayer throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning ( March 18, 2009), said a statement issued here today by the Royal Court. Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), had urged the Muslims to perform the Istisqa prayer whenever there is drought or delay in rainfall. Meanwhile, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saud, the Minister of Education, has issued his directives to the administrations of boys education in various regions of the Kingdom to carry out the Royal order.
