Baqee cemetery and the allegations that members of the Shiite community in the Kingdom are oppressed and suppressed, Prince Naif said what was said in this respect was untrue. He noted that some of the Sunnah citizens were stopped in the light of these events and their number is not less than the number of members of the Shiite community involved in the events. The events constituted an insult to the dead people notably the companions of the Prophet Mohammed, peace are upon him. He said taking soil from the graves by children and women is "an unacceptable practice". The action is unacceptable whether the perpetrator is a Shiite or not, he said, adding that all should know that anyone, irrespective of his Islamic school, who tries to undermine the security of the Kingdom and the Holy Places, will be firmly and strongly confronted. The matter is not targeting the Shiites or others, but it is the matter of violating the regulations and insulting the country notably in the Holy Places either the Holy Mosque of Makkah or the Prophet's Mosque or any other place. He noted that these matters will be settled by the judiciary system and that the commission of investigation and prosecution will shoulder its responsibility in this respect. Prince Naif pointed out that the issue of Al-Baqee was exaggerated for the known purposes to defame the Kingdom. "Despite this, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered to forgive all those involved whether they are Shiites or Sunnis," he said. We categorically reject the conflict of Islamic schools in our country, and we do believe that the citizens have rights and duties, he said, adding that generally the people here are Sunnis but there are citizens in some regions of the Kingdom who don't belong to the Sunni sect, and it is up to them. Prince Naif said there are certain foreign quarters which try to escalate such matters, and said God willing, we are capable of preventing this matter and depending on Allah Almighty and on our national capabilities to confront such issues and prevent intervention in our domestic affairs. --MORE
