Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has stressed that neither civilization nor development will be achieved without a book or a publication, also affirming that the book is a certain evidence of the development of civilizations and nations. In a speech delivered on the annual ceremony held by the Association here on Saturday evening and attended by Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khojah, Prince Dr. Bandar said that the Association has accomplished great achievements in spite of its short life, noting that the Association's membership rose to 100 members this year, an increase by 40 per cent. He called for focusing on moderate ideas and rejecting the destructive ones. On his part, the Association's President Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Hamdan has praised in his speech the support provided by the government for Saudi publishers Association.
