The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud today patronized the opening ceremony of King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) in the city of Makkah and Mina Valley Hospital in Mina, on the outskirts of Makkah. At KAMC, King Abdullah was received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region and Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee"a, Minister of Health. Addressing the speech party held to mark the occasion, Dr. Al-Rabee"a congratulated the Saudi leadership on the advent of the blessed Eid and on the success of this year"s Hajj season, describing the health situation of pilgrims, up to now, as satisfactory and distinguished, thanks to God Almighty and the support and instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier, despite the spread of the swine flu all over the world. On the opening of Mina Valley Hospital, the minister said the highly-equipped facility was accomplished in only eleven months and is considered one of the most important recent achievements of his ministry. Al-Rabee"a disclosed that eleven hospitals were opened in the last few months, bringing nearly 3,000 additional beds all through the Kingdom. In written remarks in a visitors" book, the monarch described this day as blessed, thanks to Allah Almighty and the two projects as important as they are located in the sacred places of Makkah and Mina. He said the provision of high-level medical and health services for citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom is the noble objective "of all our health projects". He vowed that the Kingdom would proceed with extending such great services for them, wishing the personnel of the Ministry of Health every success.
