Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh valued the current general conference of the supreme council of Islamic affairs in Cairo. In a statement on the sidelines of the conference, he stressed the importance of the renewal of Islamic thought which is being discussed at the conference. Al Alsheikh said Islam enjoys a renewable thought emanating from the Holy Quran and the Prophet's tradition adding that extremism and radicalism are alien to Islam. He added that Islam is capable of coexistence with Muslim people and with people of other civilizations.
